In early August, I took a quick trip up to Berlin to meet up w/my roommates.

I remember having seen and read about the opening ceremonies of the new Berlin Hauptbahnhof station, but to arrive in it was new for me. Last time I took the train to Berlin, six years ago, I arrived at Zoo Station.

Anyway, one of my roommates worked at the Bundestag this summer, so I got a pretty awesome inside tour, not unlike going behind the scenes in our nation's capitol. I feel pretty lucky to have been able to see these things.

A bit of partying in evening, a late start the next morning, some beer by the Alte Nationalgalerie on the Museuminsel, currywurst ohne darm, and a walk along the Spree following the old Berlin Wall.
